Resident Reflections
I moved here in 1993 and found everything I wanted and needed right here — including access to quality health care. Living at Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community allows me to remain close to my family and friends, while maintaining an independent lifestyle where I can continue to pursue my hobbies and interests.
Staying close to loved ones and enjoying the benefits of living in this beautiful area have made all the difference. Everyone in the Community looks after one another and the staff treats us like family. I’ve got the best of both worlds... a great place to live and quality care when I need it. It doesn’t get any better than this.

I am the third generation in my family to live at Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community. My grandmother was one of the early residents and I had an aunt and uncle who lived here too. They received such wonderful care that I decided this was the place I wanted to be – in case I ever needed assisted living or nursing care.
I’ve been here ten years now and am so glad to live in this Community. This is such a warm, loving place. Everyone is such a good neighbor and there is so much to do all the time.

My children live in different areas of the country and I don’t ever want to be a burden to them. That’s why I moved here. I anticipated the day when I would need assistance and didn’t want to be a bother to my children. At Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community, I can live independently, enjoy life and don’t need to worry. I feel privileged and blessed.

We looked at other retirement living options throughout Virginia before making our decision to stay in the area and move to Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community. We were particularly impressed by the people who work and live here. The staff is outstanding and the other residents are wonderful neighbors and friends. This is a close-knit community where everyone cares about one another.
The views of the mountains are beautiful and there is so much to see and do in the area. As avid golfers, we enjoy playing the nearby courses on a regular basis. We also participate in the exercise classes held onsite and continue to be actively involved in the greater Culpeper community. We’re happy as can be that we found a place to hang our hat for the rest of our time on earth. This place suits our lifestyle and gives us peace of mind.

It was a difficult decision to give up our Culpeper home where my wife and I lived for 50 years. Yet, we took comfort in knowing that we were able to stay in the area and have access to a quality retirement community so close to home. Once we moved to Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community, we found our new home so inviting and comfortable. And the meals are superb - the best food we have ever tasted.
The attention and care you receive here is as good as you will find anywhere. It meant so much for me to have my wife onsite when she was seriously ill -- rather than have her away from me staying in a hospital or another nursing facility.
The staff is wonderful and those in management are open and approachable. They have regular meetings with residents to solicit feedback and ideas. They are responsive and the communication is excellent. Moving here was the right decision. There’s no better place to be.

Employees here know they work for people who genuinely care about them and their loved ones. That’s why so many of us stay for so long. We all feel like we’re part of a large family and want to give all we can to help one another serve the residents. I love working with the residents – they are such great people. Even when I go home, I’m constantly thinking about them.
