Our Community Center is like a small town, offering the conveniences of a full service bank, dining, indoor swimming pool, beauty/ barber salon, fitness center, library, gift shop, game rooms, worship services and more. Decorate your home how you want, see your own physician, attend your own church, continue your current activities, and just enjoy your new found freedom. And if your health needs change, we offer Assisted Living, Memory Support and a Health Care Center. The Chesapeake is a place where you can find friends and neighbors, and a beautiful, quiet setting close to the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. Welcome home to The Chesapeake. And smooth sailing ahead.
At The Chesapeake, it’s amazing how many places you can go without actually going anywhere. With an elevator ride or a quick trip down the hall to the Community Center, you can go to the bank, go out for pizza, or shop for the perfect birthday gift. We have a woodworking shop, billiards room, arts and crafts classes, wellness programs, community garden and more. Our Health and Wellness lecture series brings doctors and experts to you, so you can learn how to maintain and improve your health. Local colleges and universities also offer a wide variety of educational programs and classes in which residents regularly participate. And, we feature monthly cultural events, theater productions, and musical concerts right here.

That’s really what life care is about. When you move to The Chesapeake, you have a commitment of lifetime residency and prepaid health care services available on-site when you need them. Following the one-time entrance fee, residents pay a monthly fee that covers most expenses including a meal plan, maintenance and utility costs, and a full range of wellness and health-related services. Even if your health care needs change, your monthly bill will not increase significantly. The key to smooth sailing at The Chesapeake is our hospitality and the comfort of knowing that comprehensive health care is available. We have many services that you need to be healthy and happy and a staff dedicated to helping you make the most out of your life. Our Clinic offers regular physician visits, nutritional counseling, and health screenings. Should the need arise, we also offer nursing services, rehabilitation and physical therapy, and long-term care. At The Chesapeake, our goal is to help you feel better and stay that way.
